Living at Bickham House Retirement Home

Choosing a care home is one of the most important decisions you can make. We’re here to help make that decision with confidence. We are committed to making the transition to living at Bickham house an easy and positive experience.

Our Bedrooms

new-windowWe have 26 bedrooms at Bickham (five with en-suite facilities)

The rooms vary in size and each has a washbasin. Five rooms are larger and are en-suite. We are also planning to make a further three rooms en-suite.

Although permanent residents occupy most of our rooms, we often have availability for short stay respite care and one room is always available as a guest or respite room.

new-pianoWe encourage residents to customise their rooms and they can add as much or as little of their own personal possessions, including furniture, as they like, (subject to the room size and health and safety issues).

Many of our rooms offer views of the garden, which is at its best when the rhododendrons are in flower during spring and early summer.

All rooms are within accessible distance of toilets and all rooms can have a commode if the resident wishes.
