Christmas at Bickham House

Although 2016 is now well underway, we would like to start by saying, Happy New Year!

Decorating the TreeChristmas at Bickham House was, as always, a very enjoyable and fun occasion for all. The house was transformed into a seasonal wonderland of tinsel and baubles. The tree looked splendid, the halls were decked and the lights dazzled. Many of our visitors commented on their very festive welcome.

Over the period, residents enjoyed a number of yule tide activities including Marion’s Christmas quiz, Christmas card making and seasonal baking. We were also pleased to welcome to our home, Royal Catholic Priests, Eucharistic Ministers and Myles Owen, the vicar of St Mary’s church in Altrincham, to provide religious services with prayers and hymns.

Card MakingOur annual Christmas Get Together was very well attended again this year. We were reunited with many familiar faces and welcomed lots of new ones too. It is always such a delight to see so many friends and loved ones bringing their warmth and cheer to Bickham House.

Staff, residents, families and visitors filled the rooms with merriment. The sherry and mince pies went down a treat. Christmas songs and carols were sung and the dancing didn’t stop. There were treats, gifts and good will in abundance and a wonderful time was had by all.

We would like to thank everyone who visited us over the Christmas period for making it such a memorable and wonderful time.

And so we turn our thoughts to the new year ahead. We have many things planned for 2016 so make sure to keep an eye on our news page for updates.

Welcome to 2016 and another busy year at Bickham house!
