The residents of Bickham house were recently treated to some favourite tunes played on piano by a local school boy.
The talented 10 year old, who has played piano since he was 4 years old, attends Presto Music School in Warrington where he is already studying to pass his Grade 3 keyboard exam.
His well prepared and rehearsed play list included a selection of familiar favourites and two of his very own compositions. All pieces were carefully thought out and befitting for the Bickham audience.
However, the piece that stole the show was ‘It’s a Long Way to Tipperary’. As the popular wartime tune matched its way through the lounge, the residents came to life – smiling, clapping and singing along. Staff members also joined in, the atmosphere was wonderful. Charlie was delighted with the response and with a beam on his face was more than happy to play it again by popular demand!
The residents clearly enjoyed their ‘Trip to Tipperary’. One resident said ” A wonderful song and a wonderful little pianist. Clever boy”
