The annual Strawberry Tea was held on the 23rd August and the weather was exceptionally kind to us. Refreshments, strawberries, scones and cream were served outside on the terrace and a small lucky dip raffle was organised for our residents. Overall it was a very enjoyable afternoon and our thanks go out to the Friends group for organising it.

Refurbishments
Our refurbishments are now complete and we have a brand new office and an extended dining room. A fantastic ramp from the dining room gives us easy access to the garden and terrace. The nice weather in July saw many a resident sitting out and enjoying the sunshine. The new patio doors give us welcome fresh air in the dining room during hot meal times and the extra dining space is a great help to all. The extended office is a luxury worth waiting for and doctors, nurses & visitors have commented on it with pleasing results. Overall a great success and well worth the wait!
Fish Tank Developments
Our existing fish tank is being converted to a tropical wonder tank. This will allow us to have a greater variety of fish. The tank will be maintained monthly and we will be welcoming lots of new exotic fish over the next few weeks. So make sure you look every time you pass the tank!
Spring Produce
The vegetable plot at the bottom of the garden is starting to yield fruit and vegetables that are being passed on to Sarah our head chef and Duncan our weekend chef to utilise in their dishes.
Dining Room and Office Extension Update
Our extension project is proceeding nicely and with as little disruption as possible. The work is on time with the schedule that was provided. The outside stone work is very impressive and blends in very well with the existing stone work around it. This month we should see the break through to the office and the dining room which we accept will create disruption and dust but in the long run it will be worth it. We are looking forward to the Summer when we can enjoy the space and luxury that this extension gives to us all.
